Welcome! to the High Desert Heat Basketball Club Web site. Our basketball club offers kids in Anthem, AZ,and the surrounding communities the opportunity to play and enjoy the great game of basketball through the Jr. Suns / Jr. Mercury programs. HDHBC provides recreational leagues for 1st and 2nd grades while 3rd through 8th grades are given the opportunity to play in competitive leagues with other communities.

With great pride, our club currently has seven teams competing every weekend throughout the Phoenix valley. This past summer our 7th and 8th grade boy’s team won the YMCA Jr Suns Championship for their division and we are looking forward to adding even more teams for the next Jr. Suns/Jr Mercury season which begins in December 2007.

HDHBC offers weekly SKILLS CLINICS every Sunday at the Anthem Community Center with the schedule as follows:

Every Sunday excluding holidays.
1st, 2nd & 3rd graders: 4pm to 5pm
4th & 5th graders: 5pm to 6pm
6th, 7th & 8th graders: 6pm to 7pm

High Desert Heat Basketball Club was established August, 2007, with the goal of providing excellent coaching and high levels of competition for the kids in and around the Anthem, Arizona, community. With the help of Cross of Christ Church and the Anthem Community Center, HDHBC successfully completed its first annual summer basketball camp (first through eighth grade) for boys and girls, and now we are planning the next HDHBC Winter Holiday Basketball Camp so watch for details on the Web site and via e-mail.
